ATC Clients
How you use Audio for VATSIM depends on which ATC client you control with.
CRC and vatSys
CRC and vatSys have Audio for VATSIM built in. There is no separate audio client to install and no extra configuration required — download the latest version, connect to the network as normal, and you are ready to talk.
The first time you connect, open the client's audio settings and calibrate your microphone. When talking, the level bar should bounce into the green band. If it does not, adjust your microphone gain until it does, and don't forget to assign a push to talk key.
EuroScope and VRC
EuroScope and VRC do not have audio built in. They require the separate TrackAudio client.
Step 1: Download and install the latest version of your ATC client (EuroScope or VRC).
Step 2: Download and install the TrackAudio client.
Step 3: Connect to the network using your ATC client in the normal way.
Step 4: Launch TrackAudio.
The first time you run TrackAudio, open the settings window and calibrate your microphone. When talking, the bar should be bouncing into the green band. If it does not, increase or decrease your mic volume using the mic volume slider.
Don't forget to assign a push to talk key!
If you miss your voice room list in EuroScope, we recommend using the RDF Plugin.
If you absolutely require usage of the legacy Audio for VATSIM standalone client, you may download it from here.
